By creating an account or using Project Onyx, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Project Onyx is a centrally hosted platform operated by OnyxTir. All infrastructure is operated and maintained by Project Onyx. Users do not host servers or run their own instances of the platform.
Project Onyx is currently in active testing and development.
Features may change, break, or be removed at any time. Service interruptions, bugs, or data loss may occur as part of ongoing development. By using Project Onyx, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Project Onyx reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue features during testing without notice.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use Project Onyx.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the platform complies with all applicable local laws.
An account is required to access Project Onyx.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Project Onyx is not responsible for loss resulting from unauthorized access caused by user negligence.
You agree not to use Project Onyx to:
Community owners and moderators are responsible for managing their own communities. Project Onyx is not responsible for user-generated content within communities.
Project Onyx provides text, voice, and video communication.
Users are responsible for the content they create or share.
Project Onyx does not sell, analyze, or use communication content for advertising or profiling.
Private communications are not actively monitored.
Project Onyx may access limited technical information when necessary to maintain platform stability, investigate abuse reports, or resolve technical issues.
Project Onyx is built to collect as little personal data as possible.
Limited technical data such as IP address, device type, and connection metadata may be temporarily processed for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and service operation.
Project Onyx does not require real names, phone numbers, or payment information to create an account.
User data is used only to:
Project Onyx does not use user data for advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.
Project Onyx does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
Data may only be disclosed if legally required, such as in response to a valid court order or lawful request, and only to the extent necessary to comply with the law.
Access to platform-level data and systems is restricted to authorized Project Onyx platform staff only.
These internal tools are used solely for maintenance, security, debugging, and user support. Community owners, moderators, and users do not have access to platform-level data or administrative systems.
Account data is retained while an account remains active.
Limited technical logs may be retained temporarily for security and operational purposes.
Users may request account deletion. Personal data will be removed within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is legally required.
Project Onyx takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, especially during active development.
Project Onyx is not intended for users under the age of 13, or the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction.
Accounts found to be in violation of this requirement may be removed.
Project Onyx is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, uptime, or error-free operation, particularly during testing and infrastructure changes.
Project Onyx reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
Accounts may also be removed during testing for technical or operational reasons.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Onyx and its operators are not liable for damages resulting from the use or inability to use the platform.
Use of Project Onyx is at your own risk.
Project Onyx may be accessed globally. By using the platform, users acknowledge that data may be processed in the country where Project Onyx infrastructure operates.
These terms may be updated as Project Onyx evolves.
If changes materially affect user rights or privacy, users will be notified where reasonably possible. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
